Apart from hosting a Sunday feast at Crumpet Cottage, the last few weeks have been very quiet, mainly consisting of hiding from the cold under quilts and eating far too many biscuits.

Here are a few simple pleasures keeping me going until spring has sprung…

1. Narcissus bulbs from friends that survived a journey across town rolling around with bottles of wine.

3. Fairy lights that should have come down at Christmas but our Mark Hearld birdie loves a little sparkle as he perches on hand fired pottery made by a local Nana.
