Oh, how I wish I were sipping a pineapple cocktail on a tropical island. Imagine wearing just shorts! No thermal leggings or woolly socks.

I love the beginning of a story, don’t you? Sometimes, I am so eager to get to the next chapter, I forget to enjoy the page I am reading. A beginning has no pressure, no disappointments and no distractions.
As much as I love the smell of books and the texture of paper, I am loving the new Kindle Paperwhite Mr Crumpet got me for Christmas. Now my heaving bookshelves are soley reserved for art books. And my Kindle is overflowing with Anne of Green Gables and Enid Blyton adventures.

I have never been one of those people who gets their outfit ready, clean and pressed, the night before. However, searching through a dressing-up box, rather than through a dusty old wardrobe, would make the mornings more fun I am sure.
When I was 16 I owned a pair of bright pink cowboy boots and wore them everywhere – I wonder where they are adventuring now?

This year is starting to fly by already! I hope at the end of the week Grandfather Time will put his feet up in a cosy jumper, with a mug of Horlicks and settle down in front of the latest Midsomer Murders episode.
Of course, we all know the best animals for keeping time are white rabbits.
